Task 7: Identity Monday August 23rd


  1. Which characters teach Gary about himself?

  2. In what way does his performance in the Grnad final increase his sense of self-worth?

  3. What actions or events we have read about so far will be more lasting than the football in developing Gary's sense of identify?

  2. Darcy teaches gary about life and offers him advice about girls. When dumby dies, Blacky finds his emotional side and becomes more alert about the racism in his town. When Blacky tackles the Thumper...will be continued

    1- Darcy teaches Blacky about the girls and life.. When dumby dies and it tought blacky the importance of racism.
    2- It is the grandfinal and Blcky tackles the Thumper. He feels like sombody not a gutless wonder. He is important.
    3- When blacky went to Dumby's funeral would be more larsting than the footy final because it was the sence of Blacky's identity.

    1.gary dad: he stands up to him and tells him the truth about using the paint to paint over the graffiti.

  16. Darcy, blacky's mum and dad, Dumby, and cathy have all brought out the true gary black.
    When blacky won the gran final for his team, he gew alot of confisence. he felt important and pleased. He feels as if he is not a gutless wonder anymore.
    Dumbys death really opened blackys eyes about racism and other problems in the world. Going to Dumbys funeral would be more lasting than the footy.
